Game Development, or some s**t like that
when thinking of what game to create in the short summer time that i have i started thinking what could be the first game that would apropriatly introduce the LunaTech universe to a new player
And i think i might have found an appropriate awnser... Stuck on a deserted island, tasked of managing aircraft activities on the nearby southern Dromian Akma sea region, a nicotine addict clone with basic radio comms skills begins his day by... ordering MRE's cigarretes and water
The games atmosphere is rather simple in concept, there are three factions in the area surrounding you:
Lethargian Collective - your employer and creator, you serve the Lethargian collective (and the orbital ship) and the nearby LunaTech collective Skid cities
Volkas empire - a very flavourfully Italian nation recently overtaken by a fascist goverment trying to wage a war against an enemy in the sky (Lethargia) which they cannot reach with their 1930's sentient aircraft
Skids - mostly a mixed LunaTech population of cephalopod humanoid people and humans from the first orbital crashlanding of the Lethargia, where the captain Belgernaut made humans and Skids work together over a thousand years to reach unseen advancements in technology and magic
each and every nation is bound to have their own way of aerial communication and technological level, Lethargian collective uses AX.25, Volkas uses low frequency RTTY and Skids use good old hand booped and beeped Morse (CW)
This in the game makes 3 good difficulty changes, seperated by hardware requirements, different skillsets and actions, overall making a situation slowly declining where the Akma seas nations are in a Cold War quickly rising in temperature
of course as silly this game is (and being inspired by papers please and voices of the void :3c) it has to have incredibly wacky physics, silly mechanics like timeskip via smoking or mowing grass
the game is being made in Godot too...
anyways more devlogs are gonna be soon, Legitbox out.
